JK BMS (Home Storage - UART Port) Data Collector Tutorial

Step 1: Wiring

Locate the UART port on the protection board and plug the module in.

Step 2: Protocol Setting

Open the official JK App. Click "Settings" ==> "Authorization Settings" (JK default password: 123456).

In the detail settings, change Serial Port 3 to "001 - JK BMS RS485 Modbus".

Remember the Device Address of the protection board. In the image above, it is 0 (it may be different for everyone. Please remember it, as it will be needed in the next step).

Step 3: Network Configuration for the Collector

Click the button below 👇 to open the WeChat Mini Program (if it cannot be opened, you can also search for PV Smart Control on WeChat).

Click the "+" in the upper right corner of the Mini Program to add a device, and configure the WiFi account and password for the device.

After successful network configuration, there will be a JK BMS card on the home page, as shown below.

Click the card to enter the device details page. If you can see the data (and the collection time is updating), everything is normal.

If it is not normal, click the settings in the upper right corner of the details page, then click "Set Communication Address" and set the corresponding value (found in the JK App in Step 2).

TIP

If the device cannot be found:

  1. Please check if the collector is powered on (the light on the right will be on when powered).
  2. Whether the light on the left is flashing, which represents the network configuration mode (long press the left button "B" to clear WiFi and re-enter network configuration mode).
  3. If it is an iPhone, connect the phone to 2.4G WiFi first (iPhone does not have permission to scan WiFi).
